mermaid turbulence is a publishing project by artist djeribi
started in November 1993 in Dublin. Books, artistbooks, artists books and things (multiples/objects, some useful). Since 2000
it has been based in Annaghmaconway, a townland in very rural Leitrim in the North-west of Ireland.

djeribi, born Paris, 1967, emigrated Dublin, 1990 and on to Leitrim, 2000, has been running mermaid turbulence, a publishing project since 1993, her inclusive polymorphic practice also includes writing, visual arts (artistsbooks, objects, films, installations), food (sourdough bread, pâtisseries, edible art interventions) and farming with her two home-schooled children and Lukasz Jurgowiak, a basket-maker.
Work currently in progress : Protest Song (unsolicited public art), Local Hands (film), the rural cinema project, the institute of life wonderful and leftovers [broadly speaking]. Some of her work will appear in a forthcoming edition of the very fancy French art publication Les Cahiers Intempestifs.
